The Golemancer
In order to retain the purity, honor, and challenge of playing the Golemancer, this build will have no points on Skeletons, and will basically max mostly Golems.
- 20 Clay Golem (for Attack Rating)
- 20 Fire Golem (for Damage)
- 20 Golem Mastery (for Attack Rating)
- 10 Iron Golem
- 20 Summon Resist
- 1 Amplify Damage, 1 Decrep
- 1 Corpse Explosion, several on Bone Wall
- Might, Blessed Aim, or Defiance Mercenary
- May wield additional Auras
Points on Clay, Fire, and Mastery will increase the offensive capacity
of the Golem. Points on Iron, Mastery, and Summon Resist will increase
the defensive ability of the Golem. Why favor Summon Resist over Iron
Golem? Although 20 Iron Golem with 10 Summon
Resist is preferred for the better Golem, Golems are generally invulnerable to Physical Damage at that
level of Mastery and Iron Golem Synergies, especially at very high
character development (Level 95+). If Defiance is on, the Golem will not
be damaged even if surrounded by Unique Death Lords or Minions of
Destruction.
Can AI Curses (Dim Vision, Confuse, Attract) be
beneficial? If no points are invested on Decreptify and Weaken, then the
Attract branch of skills can be used. AI Curses will benefit Golemancers
the most, among all Necromancers, since they have virtually no skeleton
army. Attract and Confuse have the ability to increase your damage done
to monsters, and Attract being the most powerful of the three AI curses;
using Attract and Amplify Damage in rapid alternating casts.
I placed a point on Bone Spirit, on my own build, because I wanted my Skill Tree bar to
look evenly matched and have the same number of elements on both Row 3
and 4. (There are Five Rows of Skills 1: Town Portal, 2: Summoning 3:
Poison and Bone 4: Curses 5: Normal Attacks). Far more importantly, a
Necromancer without Skeleton Mages nor Bone Spells would be seriously
compromised in ranged attacks. Thus, one point on Bone Spirit to fire at
monsters or unsuspecting players that are caged in Bone Prisons.
Player Strategy:
How to kill monsters quickly with only Player, Golem, and Mercenary on screen. More on this section in the future.
Golem Strategy: (Not Strategy for Necromancer, Golem only):
- Spam Clay Golem to slow down monsters
- Cast Fire Golem to finish them off.
- Use an Ethereal Iron Golem Runeword for teamplay.
